Upon earning my PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from Purdue University in 2012, I joined the Professional Writing faculty at the University of Central Arkansas. I teach undergraduate courses in Rhetoric, Technical Writing, and Digital Media, and a graduate course in scholarly writing for the disciplines; I have also served as the Interim Director of First-Year Writing.

I work to enact praxis throughout my scholarship and teaching; this means that my interest in materialist and embodied/affective rhetoric informs my work in administration and curriculum development, and vice versa. My overarching professional agenda treats curriculum development and assessment as grounded theory; my hope is to theorize, build, and assess institutional structures that capitalize upon the paralogical elements of postprocess writing models.
